Classroom philosophy
I have always - as an educator and parent - believed in the importance of the classroom being a community of learners.
I do agree with George Couros' reservations regarding the use of the term "rules" in this image, as outlined in his recent posting What are the expectations for your classroom?
I prefer to think of these five components being part of a classroom philosophy. I love that this philosophy is thus applicable to all, teachers and students alike, within the learning community.
