#237 Meraki and me
As a linguist, I love discovering new words and was delighted to come across ‘meraki’ [μεράκι].
Aside from sounding delightful, I love that it is one of those words - akin to saudade (Portuguese), hiraeth (Welsh), l’esprit d’escalier (French) and tsundok (Japanese) - described as being untranslatable.

Rather than being rendered by a single word in another language, a phrase or sentence - as is evident above - is needed to convey the concept fully.
Armed with this new word, I am for the month of March looking to post a blog every day [my own #31DayChallenge] and intend to do so with soul, creativity, love and (as and when feasible) sharing more of myself than I usually do when I blog.
