#246 Some brief thoughts regarding the IB Learner Profile

Extract from the IB Learner Profile

Very nobly, the IB Learner Profile states that, “The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world”.

I have always felt that the IB Learner Profile does not apply solely to students, but to all those within our school communities.

I believe that the ten attributes (enquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective) complement each other.

They also encompass those important qualities that make us human and allows us - despite the circumstances in which we find ourselves or the challenges we face - to become better versions of ourselves.
