With the knowledge that the 2020/2021 school year for Mont’Kiara International School starts on August 4, 2020 and the recent announcement that the first day of school will be on campus, there certainly is - after these most unusual of times - light at the end of the tunnel.

I am acutely aware that it is not simply another new school year, but will be a time for us to embrace “the new normal” and the associated guidelines/SOP that make it possible for us to be back on campus.

Social-emotional concerns are always an important component on a day to day basis, especially so in the first few days and weeks of school and will - after an enforced three months of e-learning and a range of restrictions since March 2020 - be prioritized more than ever.

As we welcome both new and returning families to our school community, it is important to think about education in its true sense and as a holistic practice. With this in mind, it seems apt to share these quotes to inspire as we prepare to return to school for the 2020/2021 school year.
