#253 🍀 Happy Saint Patrick's Day 🍀

I am a big fan of Oscar Wilde and appreciate many of his quotes.

My favourite, supposedly said at New York Customs in 1882, being “I have nothing to declare except my genius”.

Whilst it is said that many of his spontaneous quotes (and perhaps this one) were indeed devised in advance, I can not but help admire the structure, sentiment and succinctness of this.

In many respects, it seems to be very self-centred (not a quality I admire).

However, I do love the fact that it does - at least my interpretation thereof - have an inherent respect for knowledge.
