Wellbeing, community and compassion [Blogpost 120]
As is no doubt evident from previous posts, I believe that wellbeing, community and compassion are important elements of education. I do not believe that these are add-ons or to be addressed through occasional lessons, rather they should be part of our mission, vision and values and thus central to all that we do.
As we continue to live through these challenging times as a result of the pandemic, it seems apt to share these two quotes pertaining to wellbeing, community and belonging.
I really appreciate this recent Linkedin post from the International School of Luxembourg which - despite the physical distancing - focusses on wellbeing, community and compassion through a practical and heartwarming activity:
