#275 “Be a little kinder than you have to”
Bennett’s quote, “Be a little kinder than you have to”, is one of my favourites.
Short and sweet.
Undeniably apt each and every day.
With a focus on the six core concepts of kindness (respect, caring, inclusiveness, integrity, responsibility and courage), Random Acts of Kindness has some wonderful activities to embed and further develop kindness in the Pre-K classroom, the Kindergarten to Grade Five classroom and the Grade Six - Grade Eight classroom and beyond.
Mindful that so often we do not know what others are going through, acts of #kindness (random or otherwise) can be impactful in our immediate surroundings and/or beyond.
As expressed by Plato, “Kindness is more than a deed. It is an attitude, an expression, a look, a touch. It’s anything that lifts another person”.
The impact of kindness resonates in this quote from the Zimbabwean-born and Canadian-based philosopher, entrepreneur and author, Matshona Dhliwayo.
Likewise, Leo Buscaglia, reminds us that “... the smallest act of caring …” can leave a legacy.
Mindful of Bennett’s “Be a little kinder than you have to”, how do you - be it through formal education or random or otherwise acts of kindness - lift others with the view to changing the world and making it a better place for us all?
